BIRTHPLACE OF THE MODERN SANTA WORLD
It all started here, in September of 1994: German catalog giant OTTO Versandt had just landed the world's greatest supermodel, Cindy Crawford, for the cover of their Fall/Winter edition & to celebrate they decided to shoot a very ambitious TV commercial!
Notices went out to agents throughout the Southwest:
"SANTA WANTED-- Must have own suit, and REAL BEARD."
Ten professional actors were selected for the 12-hr shoot at Universal Studios' Brownstone Street set-- and they had so much fun they decided to get together after the season to 'do lunch'. By the time dessert was served, they'd decided to do it again the following year, on the same day-- and this time, a couple thought to bring along a fellow Santa whom they knew... by the third year, there were nearly TWENTY Santas sitting around the table, and
THE SANTA WORLD'S OLDEST & LARGEST ANNUAL EVENT WAS HERE TO STAY!
